My book was officially published on Tuesday 26th March! Many thanks to everyone who has purchased it, I hope you have found it helpful (or at least vaguely entertaining) in some way.

I know we’re about two weeks down the line from the launch date now, but I just haven’t had much time to sit down and reflect on what has been happening. I’m so thrilled to be able to say that I was number 1 in my book category on the very first day of sales!

Every person I worked with at my publisher was kind and immensely helpful at every stage (with everything from proofreads, to cover design, to website creation). My book launch was at the Institute of Directors in central London, where I was given the opportunity to publicise my work and meet other authors.

Writing and publishing a book are definitely goals I can tick off my bucket list now. I had no idea I would, or could, ever get to this stage. After years of studying English Literature, I somehow ended up in a financial role… Then my accident changed everything, eventually giving me the opportunity to go back to (and actually use) what I love. Though it was catastrophic, my accident has provided me with an ideal subject to explore and chronicle through writing.

In other news, Saturday night somehow became an evening of unplanned joy and revelry. I was lured out under the impression that I would be helping to ‘review a bar’ with my journalist friend Cigdem… It was actually a surprise celebration that everyone had secretly organised to mark my book launch! I genuinely was so surprised, and I love that my boyfriend and friends dedicated their time to celebrate with me. It really means the world to me, and my heart is currently bursting with love and appreciation. Thank you to everyone who made it, or who sent their well wishes. You have all once more proved yourselves to be the most loyal, dependable and thoughtful comrades ever!
